Performs all required ultrasound procedures for diagnostic purposes for patients of any age group. Champions quality under the supervision and direction of Physician Champion.

Assists quality control processes in accordance with department, hospital, and regulatory standards. Compliant with holiday, weekend, evening and night shift coverage as required.

Assists education and training of staff and students. May assist with creating staff work schedules. Assists with coordinating daily staffing workflow and triaging of patients as needed to optimize care and services.

Able to push, pull and lift 50lbs as required to perform daily activities. Responsible for supplies and Par levels needed for patient care.

Provides required records / documentation to meet regulatory requirements. Completes required organizational and regulatory education and training as required for role.

Prioritizes organizational and department goals into daily operations.

Position Requirements :

Education : A.A. / A.S. Degree and or an equivalent from an approved AMA school. Must maintain required continuing education hours necessary to renew license / certification.

License :

For General Ultrasound Sonographer :

ARDMS RDMS Certified, American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider level.

For Cardiovascular Sonographer :

ARDMS RDCS and RVT Certification (May have only one ARDMS certification at time of hire but must obtain second certification within 12 months of hire)

American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider level.

Experience : Must have experience in cross-sectional anatomy, as well as the principles of physics, related to Ultrasound.

Preferred Position Requirements :

Education : Bachelor’s degree

License and Certificate :

For General Ultrasound Sonographer :

ARDMS RDMS and OB.

For Cardiovascular Sonographer :

ARDMS RDCS and RVT

Experience : 3 year experience.
