Now hiring fertilizer workers!

A local company in Eugene that manufactures fertilizer is hiring forklift operators and general labor workers to join their growing team. The job will consist of a variety of tasks, depending on the department, involving the use of chain hoists, forklifts and a wheeled cart/loader to stage, and prep and load raw materials into the mix line. Candidates will operate manual bagging equipment for other products such as per-lite and worm castings. Position will require maintaining a well-organized and clean production area is a must have to efficient soil mixing. This position does not require a pre-employment drug test.

Pay: $13/hour to start. Company does offer 100% paid medical and vision insurance, and 50% dental.

Shift: Day shift - Packaging department - 8am to 4pm Mon-Fri, this is a seasonal position

Day shift - Worm castings department - 5am to 3:30pm Mon-Fri

Night shift - Worm castings department - 3:30pm to 1:30 am Mon-Fri

All positions and shifts require a willingness to work over time.

Work Environment: the fertilizer manufacturing process creates a lot of dust, and is dirty work.

Job Duties

Forklift operations

Bagging machine operations

Staging materials

Maintain a clean work environment

Lift bags regularly, weight up to 65 lbs

Qualifications

Experience operating a forklift

Experience with shipping and receiving preferred

Position will require reading, writing, and speaking in English

Position will require regular lifting of bags up to 65 lbs

Position requires workers to be clean shaven

Candidates must be willing to submit to a background check

Company does not run a pre-employment drug test
