Position Overview:The Laboratory Assistant I, will process human patient derived samples received at the Shared Lab from in-patients and out-patients, maintain supplies, file paperwork, manage specimen storage, and provide support to the Client Service Department and the Technical Departments. The person in this position will report to the Non-Technical or Technical Supervisor and the Laboratory Technical Manager. This person will also be in close communication with the laboratory personnel across the Shared Lab.Qualifications:Education:High School Diploma required.Experience :This is an entry level position and does not necessarily require previous experience. Prior experience in use of computers or keyboarding is highly desirable.
