We’re looking for you.We are seeking a Senior Command, Control, and Communications (C3) Responsible System Engineer (RSE) to assist with our space programs.As a C3 RSE responsibilities include performing systems engineering analyses including trade studies, developing use cases,requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification. The C3 RSE will support definition of operations concepts and procedure planning / development and interface with personnel from other organizations.In addition, the C3 RSE will attend technical interchange meetings with team members and other program personnel,represent the organization in matters pertaining to the development of his/her project, and provide technical direction and clarification of requirements to software development teams and test personnel.Additional responsibilities include document review, resolution of technical systems engineering and integration issues, and support of ECP efforts as required.The successful candidate will have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.Required Skills: A minimum of 6 years demonstrated system engineeringexperience with proven track record Experience developing command and control payloads for satellites Experience developing protocols for communications with satellite ground systems, including link budget development Experience developing inter-satellite communications links Experience supporting subsystem level assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) of communications payloads to the space vehicle, including identifying necessary test equipment Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team Experience with communications with satellite ground systems and between satellites, particularly command and control functionality Strong software development background Experience working with multi-disciplined teams Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills Knowledge of System Engineering lifecycle processes including development and deployment Experience in Requirements development/derivation/management, including requirements flow down to cross-functional teams Experience scripting with languages (e.g. Python, Perl) Experience with troubleshooting Microsoft Windows and Networking Experience in preparing executive management level briefings Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly Excel, Project, and PowerPoint US CitizenshipAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance within one year of start dateDesired Skills: Experience designing a battle management, communication, command, and control (BMC3) payload for a satellite system Experience developing optical (laser) inter-satellite communications links Systems and/or Software Engineering experience on a large government software development contract Experience with software development, installation, and integration activities Experience in requirements management Experience in CONOPS / OPSCON development Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation Experience in technical risk managementRequired Education:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM disciplineDesired Education:Master’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain DoD Secret U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date#ideasinorbit168339Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
