Carpenters Assistant/Weatherization Technician (North Stonington)

We are currently looking for a Laborer/weatherization tech to assist our energy assessment crew, insulation crew and carpenters. You will be working under the direction of the Crew Lead to weatherize homes for utility programs and weatherization agencies to reduce consumer energy bills. You will also assist in completing insulation, siding and window installation projects. Must be able to pass a background check.

Job Location: All of Eastern Connecticut but focus on New London, Middlesex, Windham counties and southern RI.

Responsibilities:Installation of energy savings measures including attic insulation (batts and blown), Dense pack wall insulation, caulking, Foam air sealing, lighting, thermostats, CO detectors, and installation of weather stripping. Please email resume.

Assist with loading and unloading work trucks.

Assist with keeping the job site tidy, organized and safe.

Assist with customer site job set up and tear down.

Assist with restocking inventory in work trucks.

Ability to read job scope and identify additional work opportunities.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Must be willing to work in attics which can be hot and tight

Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.

No experience needed we will train you.

General Carpentry skills a plus but not necessary

Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions.

Ability to utilize common hand tools.

Ability to measure, cut, and prepare for energy savings installation.

Must be able to Pass a Background Check

Must have a vehicle and valid drivers license
