Surgical Technician - Operating Room

Surgical Technicians are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients. Surgical Technicians work under the supervision of the Surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Ensures that the operating room environment is safe, the equipment functions properly, and the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

Skills :

Expertise in theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques

Knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies

Knowledge of Operating Room equipment / instrumentation

Ability to operate business machines and handle heavy equipment (push / pull)

Ability to speak / write English

Position Requirements :

Education : High school graduate or equivalent; Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology Program

Training : Obtains at least 6 CEUs per year
