Salon in Annapolis currently has an opening for a Shampoo Technician. General responsibilities include shampooing, performing hair treatments, and general client care. Light cleaning, sweeping, and doing laundry is also involved.
This position is perfect for someone who may be interested in "breaking into" the hair industry, and may want to one day become an apprentice under a senior cosmetologist.
The ideal candidate should be a quick learner who possesses excellent english communication skills and has the ability to make our clients feel pampered and relaxed. Must have reliable transportation. After an intense two week training period(where hours will vary), this position has the following hours:
Thursdays: 9:30am to 3pm
Alternating Saturdays: 7:30am to 4pm
More hours will become available throughout the year as covid-19 restrictions lessen and to cover sick coworkers, vacations, etc.
Previous shampoo experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person.
