We are looking for full-time talent to join us at our Cadenza location in Salem Oregon. Cadenza is a residential facility for 17 1/2 to 24 year old's in need of additional psychiatric support while transitioning into society through work, school, and every day activities. The perfect candidate would Meet Qualified Mental Health Associate classifications, which includes:

· A Bachelor's degree in an applied behavioral science (psychology, Social Science, Sociology, social work, Cultural Anthropology) or

· 3 years of work experience in a Human Service/ Mental Health field or

· A mix of relevant education and work experience weighing heavily on work experience

· Will need to obtain and maintain a National Provider Identification (NPI) through a credentialing application process.

Candidates will also need to pass a criminal background check

Must obtain and maintain current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and Food Handlers card.

Essential and core duties include:

· Be a safe and caring resource for our youth, young adults, and their families.

· Establish rapport by demonstrating and maintain clear, consistent, appropriate, and therapeutic boundaries.

· Document daily clinical information on behaviors and interactions of clients in public and in the residence, giving concise detail and focused reports pertinent to their therapeutic goals and achievements, as well as any regression of behaviors associated with their diagnosis

· Interact and intervene at critical times to support and maintain therapeutic and personal goals of the youth / young adult to reinforce healthy interactions, coping skills, and emotional response to environment / life stages

· Active supervision and interaction with youth and young adults both in the community and within the residence to maintain safety and provide psychiatric services.

· Demonstrate alignment with the philosophy of Collaborative problem solving by utilizing the approaches in interactions with youth and young adults, families, staff, and community partners.

· Safely de-escalate youth and young adults, including in crisis situations, by effectively using verbal intervention skills while maintaining a calm demeanor

· Be able to maintain a positive and supportive attitude: maintain positive communication and peer support in the work environment

· Abide by ethical codes, mission, values, and professional standards, including confidentiality

· Perform all work tasks in a proper and safe manner, abiding by company policies, procedures, and guidelines to prevent unnecessary injury, time loss and agency expense.

· Comply with all federal, state, and agency health and safety reporting requirements as a mandatory reporter.

Occasionally provide transportation of youth and young adults to community activities or appointments using a company vehicle

Cadenza occasionally utilizes techniques and principles to verbally de-escalate residents. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a current Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Certification.
