DescriptionClient in El Segundo is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to support their HR department. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment in Human Resources. The position is fast paced with a high degree of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to think quickly and assist Company employees through a complicated leave process. The ideal candidate will also have a winning spirit and be able to keep the employees’ positive through a difficult time in their life. This position has very heavy phone duties. This person must be able to commute easily to the Corporate Offices in El Segundo, CA. This is an hourly position and pay is dependent on your experience as well as skill set. The hours are Monday through Friday 740am to 420pm. Answers client inquiries, employees and vendors regarding benefit information providing excellent customer service both over the phone and through email Inputs client and employee benefit deductions as appropriate Assists in the Open Enrollment process of our benefit plans for all clients, including preparation of enrollment packets to employees, collecting forms and processing data Responsible for processing 401(k) enrollments, changes, terminations; send out 401(k) distributions and loan paperwork requests to the vendor Conducts benefit deduction audits on a pay period basis Update billing or enrollment changes, terminations, new additions or discrepancies on plans as needed Works with manager to create and maintain documented department procedures and processes Creates and maintains employee benefit files and other record keeping; responsible for filing documents on a weekly basis Provides employees with information of current plan options and communicates revised and/or updated benefit plan informationRequirements At least one year leave of benefits experience preferred.
