Ensures the consistent and efficient operation of the clinician schedules, hospital call rotations for all locations in the Department of Psychiatry Fontana Service Area. Coordinates all clinician schedules within the Department of Psychiatry. Initiates, prepares and implements the monthly provider schedules for the department. Enters data into the Regional O.P.A.S. System and other systems as applicable. Distributes specialty monthly schedules to the clinics in a timely manner. The position exercises no supervision. Must be able to work cooperatively in an LMP environment.Essential Functions:

Independently prepares and maintains psychiatry clinician schedules, hospital call rotation, MCON schedules, Same-Day appointment schedules, and other schedule needs that may arise; distributes schedules according to established procedures.

Implements and expedites all clinician schedule changes and coordinates absences such as VL, SL and/or requests for time off, to ensure adequate coverage for all clinic and psychiatric in-patient areas.

Follows up to ensure that all schedule changes and/or cancellation of appointments were completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Notifies appropriate clinic and hospital personnel when schedule changes occur.

Enters and/or oversees the entry of provider master schedules into the Regional O.P.A.S. System and updates data as required by policy and procedure.

Develops clinician profiles (schedules) for new providers following departmental policies and procedure as established by the Chief of Service and/or the Clinic Managers.

Ensures that the clinician scheduling policy and procedures are followed when developing and maintaining provider profiles.

Establishes and maintains appropriate files and records, will ensure accuracy, and confidentiality of all records.

Collects, prepares, and distributes statistical data and/or reports as required.

Develops a check and balance system to ensure schedule changes are made correctly and those clinics affected by the changes notified immediately.

Adheres to area and departmental policies and procedures and still keep all aspects of the schedules functioning smoothly.

Coordinates and develops, along with the Chief of Service and the Clinic Managers, provider master schedules three (3) months prior to activating those schedules in the Regional O.P.A.S. System.

Promotes, ensures, and improves customer service to internal/external customers by demonstrating skills which are consistent with the organization's philosophy of providing extraordinary customer relations and quality service.

May be required to back-up Psychiatric Social Clerk functions as needed and directed by the Supervisor and/or Clinic Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

Recent experience on a computerized appointment system or equivalent experience.

Must be in Psychiatric Social Clerk I position and have at least one (1) year of experience as a Psychiatric Social Clerk.

Typing 40 wpm. All testing must be completed by the end of the posting period. Typing must be current within one (1) year. Please contact Human Resources for testing.

Primary responsibilities includes Master Scheduling duties, answering queue calls and performing related duties.
