We have exciting full-time opportunities in our Bozeman, Montana office for Structural Engineers ranging in experience from mid to senior level.

Opportunity:

These positions will work innovatively and collaboratively with the firm’s full-service Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Buildings Market Group, as well as with the Civil Engineering disciplines within Morrison-Maierle to create comfortable, healthy, energy efficient, sustainable, and productive spaces. Our team approach to buildings and structures promises to deliver final projects that are coordinated, cost-effective, sustainable solutions that will meet the needs of our clients for the long-term.

Project Types: Design of new building and evaluation/renovation of existing buildings in the K-12 and Higher Education, Municipal/Government, Airport, Hospitality, Industrial, and Multi-Family Housing market sectors.

Responsibilities: Performing technical structural design, analysis and calculations, preparing construction documents, collaborating and coordinating with clients and project design team members, and performing construction administration. Duties may include managing budgets, schedules and deliverables; undertaking the technical work associated with engineering design; leading business development pursuits; leading, managing and mentoring junior engineers. Project management, client service and team leadership skills are fundamental to the firm’s daily environment.

Tasks may include load calculations, site inspections and punch lists, coordination of REVIT model / ceilings and backgrounds with architect, responses to Request For Information from the contractors, assembly and editing of construction specifications, drafting of as-built drawings for record, and design and construction meetings with owner’s, architects, and contractors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with emphasis in structural engineering. Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering highly preferred.

Mid-Level: 4 to 10 years’ progressive structural engineering experience emphasizing in building design. Engineer Intern certification required. A professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.

Senior-Level: Minimum of 10 years’ experience, preferably in Architectural Engineering industry. A professional engineering (PE) license is required.

Experience with Revit/BIM and structural analysis software preferred.

Must be service oriented and excited to work in a team environment. Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with employees, managers, and clients. Positive attitude and professional bearing. Highly effective communications skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrate analytical, problem solving, decision making, and follow through skills. Strong organizational skills and aptitude for detail.

The position will require periodic travel. Must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record.

Salary: $65,000 - $100,000
