MASTER MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (Redlands)

Kelly Services is seekingaMASTER MAINTENANCE MECHANIC for a Direct Hire opportunity in Redlands.

Responsibilities:Key Functions

Determines requirements for maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.

Ensures electrical equipment such as switches and electrical mechanisms are in good operating condition through preventative maintenance requirements.

Continuously maintains, repairs, dismantles and rebuilds equipment and machinery required for production of products and maintenance of plant facilities.

Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.

Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Lubricates and cleans parts, start devices to test for performance.

Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

Reads and executes maintenance work order to verify knowledge of order specifications.

Assists in maintaining the building and grounds systems.

Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

Reads and understands blueprints and schematics.

Responds to work requests and document/record repair activities.

Qualifications:Required

HS diploma or Associates degree in Industrial Electricity or similar discipline or equivalent training.

At least a minimum of five (5) yearsof general mechanic experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with troubleshooting automated equipment is a must.

Experience with the safe use of a variety of hand tools and shop equipment.

Must have a working knowledge of brazing and welding, and electrical skills in order to repair machines, equipment and buildings.

Must be capable of trouble shooting control signals (4-20mA, 0V -10V) circuits, motors, pumps, variable frequency/speed drives, and low voltage up to 480 volts.

Ability to read, analyze, mechanical and electrical prints, interpret technical procedures, and write reports, business correspondence, purchase requisitions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information, and respond to questions from mangers, vendors, customers, and employees.

Ability to understand and follow directions and procedures.

Thorough knowledge of OSHA Regulations.

Complies with departmental and job safety practices, including wearing protective equipment and monitoring placement of machine guards.

Preferred

Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience is a plus.

SHIFT:1st Shift - Monday - Friday 6:00 AMto 2:30 PM - this position will require Overtime;weekdays and Saturdays

Pay Rate- $62,400

A Company vehicle will beprovided for minimal driving needs.
