The Software Architect Engineer for Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP) is a key technical role within the ASP R&D software team.

The Staff Software Engineer will be participating in software design and implementation of new and existing ASP capital and connected systems.

This person will also help develop the strategy for transitioning existing customers from legacy software platforms to new software platforms.

Responsibilities :

Engage in Software Architecture and concept definition.

Engage in definition and documentation of software requirements.

Hand-on software development for embedded and systems.

Progressively identify and eliminate waste and thereby lean out the software development and delivery process.

Train and mentor joiner software engineers.

Pro-actively engage in experimentation and innovation to drive persistent product improvement.

Develop core capabilities and new technologies to drive business value

Adhere to quality system and environmental policies and procedures and supports department compliance objectives

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, EE or other relevant technical experience is required. Advanced degree is preferred

A minimum of 8 years of practical work experience in software engineering.

Hands on experience in real-time embedded software development and RTOS.

Hands on experience in C / C, Object Oriented Programming and software architect is required.

Hands on experience in Java & Qt is a plus.

Experience in hardware and software integration (development, testing and debugging)

Experience in networking protocols, including wireless, is a plus.

Experience in x86 or ARM microprocessors or PIC microcontroller.

Experience in source code and change control management process is required.

Experience in the use of simulators / emulators is preferred.

Experience in Agile / Lean software development process and tool sets is required.

Experience in database, scripting capabilities is preferred.

Experience with software CI / CD tools like (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) is preferred.

Experience in managing off-shore and on-shore development teams is required. Ability to create collaboration across time-zone and regions

Experience in a life sciences / healthcare organization is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
