Description
The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care. He / she applies the nursing process to follow the plan of care for patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
The Certified Medical Assistant must possess good communication skills and must be able to effectively communicate with physicians, peers, patients and families.
He / She works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure quality care is delivered
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Must possess strong computer skills and have the ability to work with multiple computer systems.
Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English
Must be able to operate standard patient care equipment for services provided

Certifications :
X Basic Life Support (BLS)
Required Skills
Licenses : Must possess an active CMA license in the State of TN
Must have current BLS / CPR certification Required Skills
Must have knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment Required Skills
Must possess skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
