Heavy Equipment Operator – Summary:

Performing all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Reconditing and repairing heavy equipment and components for the mining industry.

Maintaining complete and detailed working records for time, parts, supplies and outside purchases for repairs.

Following all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhering to all policies and procedures as specified.

Maintaining and caring for shop tools, company equipment and vehicles.

Successfully meeting company guidelines such as completing repairs, meeting time requirements, feedback from customers and ability to take guidance and direction from management.

Perform diagnostic inspections as directed.

Communicating with customers and co-workers daily and occasional interactions with subcontractors of customers.

Accountability for following all DOT, MSHA, OSHA and established company policies, rules, regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

High School diploma, GED or proper training/certifications.

Minimum one (1) year servicing heavy equipment.

Exposure to hand and cold temperature climates.

Moving mechanical parts and equipment in moderate to high noise level working environment.

Equipment knowledge or previous experience with equipment.

Owns and maintains personal tools.

Technical understanding of safe work habits and knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.

Read, analyze and interpret technical information from schematics, technical manuals, drawings and procedures and government regulations.

Computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Strong Current electronic diagnosing capabilities and problem-solving skills.

Be able to work with minimal supervision.

Customer service oriented, reliable, ethical and able to adapt to people and environment around them.

Experience with hydraulic systems, electrical/electronic, pneumatics and diagnosing.

Be able to stand, walk, use of hand and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule:

Flexible schedules available.

Schedule depends on field or shop.

12-hour shifts (day shift) + Overtime.

Compensation/Pay Period:

Field/Shop Service Technicians: $25-30/hr.
