Description

The Automation Engineer will provide engineering and technical support related to the design, documentation, operation, maintenance, installation, startup / commissioning, testing, and qualification of process and automated equipment and systems within a fluid flow measurement and water quality instrumentation manufacturing facility.

This may include production equipment such as calibration flow loops, automated production test equipment, and other support equipment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Support the design, operation and troubleshooting of calibration and manufacturing equipment and control systems used in the manufacture of fluid flow and water quality instrumentation

Support reliability engineering for production and support equipment

Work in partnership with the manufacturing team to drive productivity, reduce cycle time and improve quality and first pass yields as well as assist with on the floor operational support as needed.

Support the design and qualification of improvements, changes, or upgrades to this equipment as needed

Support the development of validation and qualification documents

Provide the execution of commissioning and qualification activities

Support the maintenance department as needed

Provide off-shift and on call support when necessary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in either Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics engineering

4-5 years of experience working with process flow equipment

Python, Labview, and PLC programming experience

Preferred Qualifications :

Capability with programming Siemans PCS 7 in SCL and updating Client functionality

Capability with bidirectional transfer with Microsoft Dynamics

Work experience in an ISO 17025 accredited facility

Certification ISA Certified Automation Professional, CAP, program

Ability to effectively multi-task in our fast-paced environment

Excellent planning, negotiating, and organizing skills
