Position Summary

The incumbent acts as both a functional and technical leader in the development, upgrade, enhancement, and support of Clinical Information systems.

Independently maintains and manages large modules of an enterprise clinical information system or department specialty system.

Facilitates decisions and work efforts which affect applications and patient care practices.Participates in the analysis and design of data communication links between systems.

Salary Range : Minimum

$159600

Required Qualifications :

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to function as a project leader and project member

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to self initiate and effectively problem solve issues

Working knowledge of inpatient and / or ambulatory clinic workflows

Experience using / implementing / supporting an EMR in a hospital and / or ambulatory setting

Experience using / implementing / supporting an EMR system’s Ancillary / Lab module(s) and integration with the LIS and Pathology system

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Ability to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolution

Must be willing to participate in 24 hour on-call rotations as a system duty officer

Must have working knowledge of client / server systems, relational database structures and reporting tools

Must possess a working knowledge of HL7 and other interface / integration strategies

Preferred Qualifications :

Knowledge / experience in MS SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services and PowerBI

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Analyst-level Project coordination / management experience.

Experience using / implementing / supporting EMR core (Inpatient, Ambulatory) modules in support of Laboratory-specific needs.

Experience using / implementing / maintaining / supporting Laboratory Information Systems (preferably Sunquest, CoPath), and integration with the core EMR and other systems.

Knowledge / experience of Clinical Medical Laboratory Operations and IT support.
