The Nuclear Operations Directorate (NOD) is seeking a Project Engineer to provide digital engineering support to the USAF Long Range Stand Off (LRSO) Program Office Digital Engineering group with development, oversight, and execution of establishing the LRSO Digital System Model as outlined in the OSD Digital Engineering Strategy ( DE Strat ). The successful candidate will provide the program office the ability to work with the prime contractors in developing a common data taxonomy, infrastructure architecture, and enterprise tools and connectors necessary to support a model-based enterprise. The candidate will be in a customer interface role for the Air Delivered Capabilities Directorate (AFNWC/NDBD) within the USAF Nuclear Weapons Center. - Support the SPO with development and execution of a Digital Engineering (DE) Plan to include establishment of a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment utilizing a working knowledge of Cameo Enterprise Architect
- Perform as a Solutions architect with the ability to recommend and develop a data taxonomy across many functional areas
- Provide knowledge of hardware and software architectures necessary to support a model-based enterprise
- Support the SPO with establishment and execution of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes and tools utilizing a working knowledge Siemens Teamcenter
- Support the SPO with oversight and execution of the contract
- Lead DE related studies and analysis efforts utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB), and Modeling and Simulation (M&S)
- Support review and analysis of contractor DE environment and associated data deliveries
- A Bachelor of Science degree in science or engineering from a recognized institution
- Minimum three or more years of relevant Digital Engineering experience
- Experience with establishing a Digital Engineering environment to include:
- Establishment of a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment
- Data Architecting
- Familiarization with Siemen's Teamcenter (TC) and its integration tools (Integration Gateway, Microsoft Office Integration, TC Requirements Manager and Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) integration, TC Schedule Manager, TC Document Manager, etc.)
- Fluent use of Cameo Enterprise Architect modeling tools (Unified Modelling Language, Systems Modeling Language) using Unified Architecture Framework
- Strong background in Digital Engineering tools and practices to include CAD (Creo and CATIA), FEA (Ansys), CFD on a High-Performance Computing asset (Kestrel), and M&S (AFSIM)
- Willing to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time
- Position requires a current Secret clearance with a closeout date in the last six years (must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret SCI clearance)
- Candidate must receive program access approval prior to being hired
- Master of Science degree in science or engineering from a recognized institution
- Six or more years of relevant Digital Engineering experience
- Current Top Secret clearance
- Experience with PLM implementation and sustainment
- Knowledge of integrating PLM to PLM, specifically Teamcenter to Windchill
- Experience interfacing with DOD customers in a program office environment
- Experience supporting acquisition and operation of strategic weapons systems
