A top liability insurance provider that specializes in medical malpractice solutions is looking for Software Developer to join their team in Boston. They are a provider that prides themselves on protecting our healthcare workforce. As a part of the team, you'll be taking technical specifications and translating them into software to meet requirements of request made by IT or business units. This is a full-time direct hire role. They seek a young engineer who can design, create, maintain, and test software per technical and/or design specifications from underwriters and BSA's. Moreover, the current employees pride themselves on having a great work culture where inclusion and support are of the upmost importance to the success of the company. They are growing exponentially and have just launched internationally as of this year.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience working within a .NET Framework
  • Experience working with C#
  • Knowledge of working with SQL queries
  • Experience working with API (XML)
  • Ability to commute to their Boston Location

Desired Skills & Experience
  • A BA from a 4-year College or University in computer science related major
  • Experience writing JavaScript (Angular)
  • Familiarity with Cloud systems (AWS)
  • Familiarity working in an Agile work environment
  • Self-motivated to develop unique approaches to special projects.

What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown

Daily Responsibilities
  • Consult with clients and BSAs
  • Writes and maintains technical specifications including design specification and unit test plans.
  • Design screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
  • Analyze and estimate feasibility, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs.
  • Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and timetables for developing programs.
  • Takes specifications and develops software to meet requirements
  • Performs unit testing to ensure software meets requirements
  • Documents software development process
  • Adhere to software development life cycle (SDLC) of project, including using source control system
