Position Summary:The Business Systems Analyst (BSA), Senior functions as a liaison between business units throughout ETS and the IT departments, participates in business process modeling and research efforts and completes business cases in support of IT projects. The incumbent works with the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) proposal team to develop the scope of work necessary to support the requirements of the proposal, identifies delivery solutions and works to develop cost reviews and prepare a technical response to the client that proposes solutions to meet business needs. This role participates in the formulation and definition of project scope and objectives for the evolving NLP/AI applications and services. Additionally, the BSA, Senior participates in requirements gathering and documentation and prepares detailed systems specifications from which programs are written or configured. The Senior Business Systems Analyst communicates with the IT team to ensure proper development, operationalization and delivery of technical solutions that fully adhere to corporate business objectives and meet user specifications for functionality and accuracy. Responsibilities
  • Elicit product business requirements and articulates as epics features and stories
  • Drive requirements analysis, refinement, and prioritization of backlog items across products
  • Direct and manage development activities in a cross functional environment
  • Coordinate dependencies across FCEs and tracks / reports progress.
  • Work with developers, interfacing teams, and end users to ensure proposed solution is delivered according to schedule and with the required functionality.
  • Translate business requirements to functional and technical specifications
  • Function as contact for problem analysis and resolution
  • Perform execution of test cases/scripts, document results, log defects, and regression testing of defects.
  • Work as part of a team to conceptualize solutions for the improvement of business goals
  • Assist with root cause analysis and triage of key/critical defects for quick turn-around.
  • Define parameters and turn into concrete cost estimates, outcomes, and project scope
  • Follow SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) processes
  • Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function

Required:
  • Experience in requirements gathering and refinement
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in using JIRA / Confluence or similar Agile project management & Collaboration tools.
  • Experience with relational Databases and SQL queries
  • Familiar with XML/JSON usage and AWS services.
  • Experience with software testing standards, practices, methods, and tools
  • Proven ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously and implicitly understand prioritization of tasks at hand(balance workload)
  • Ability to issue direction in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills to function in a team environment, with the ability to run independent work streams
  • Strong planning, organizational and prioritizing in a cross functional environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills

Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Processing or business-related curricula, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
  • 4-6 years of experience in defining/developing software products and/or managing software development efforts.
  • Scrum master experience is a plus
