He/she will use data from Sallie Mae's application process, email/SMS campaigns & website to generate quantitative analysis and BI reports. Their primary goal would be to produce actionable findings that drive loan growth. They will aid in development of effective business strategy by communicating their outputs to various business units like products, marketing, marketing technology etc.The ideal candidate should be proficient in the use of digital data analytics tools like Adobe Analytics and programming in SAS/SQL. Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI or Tableau will be a plus as they will need to generate reports using these tools.The individual must be able to work autonomously and effectively in a dynamic and changing work environment. Communication and prioritization skills are a must, as is the ability to present information, strategy, and recommendations clearly and succinctly to management. What You'll Do:Analytical support to stakeholders in product, marketing, and other business functions

  • Be the subject matter expert on all analytical & data related aspects of product and application funnel (the customer journey from application start to loan disbursement)
  • Help plan & prioritize new features/changes in application process/email or SMS campaigns/product by 'potential benefit' estimation
  • Investigate root causes for unexpected trends and behaviors
  • Analytical input to the test & learn process for testing new features/changes
  • Think strategically and come up with ideas for analysis to drive business growth
  • Present opportunities & findings to senior management
Production reporting
  • Develop and produce comprehensive suite of automated product & application funnel reports
  • Provide regular updates to executive management
  • Monitor application funnel performance looking for potential breakage
Driving innovation and Self-Development
  • Identify and analyze new data sources to help drive more objective and precise analysis
  • Adopt & pioneer usage of new tools (Adobe Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, Segmentation etc.) that help generate more value from existing data
  • Suggest changes to the data infrastructure and data retrieval process to remove roadblocks to efficient and accurate analysis

What You Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years analytics and/or reporting experience
  • 1+ years' experience in Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • 1-2 years SAS/SQL experience
  • Ability to successfully handle assignments involving complex analysis
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications and all applicable business systems
  • Proven ability to successfully handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of Student Loan industry/products & the Sallie Mae application process from app start to disbursement
  • Experience working with Tableau or Power BI
  • Tag Management knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience of coding in Python
