That's why we need you, an experienced DevOps engineer, to help us shorten the time it takes to get critical tools developed and into the hands of warfighters who need them to sustain, maintain and deliver innovative capabilities to change the world.As a lead DevOps engineer on our team, you'll use your development experience to streamline our sof tware development lifecycle from requirements to monitoring in production across the Air Force. You'll lead efforts to incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the team's developers to do what they do best - innovate. You'll implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like assimilating development and operations teams to improve the collaboration process, working with IT developers to facilitate better coordination among operations and streamlining the integration and deployment process. All while developing sof tware that will improve national security. As a te chn ical leader, you'll identify new opportunities to build sof tware solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges. Join our team, as we transform warfighter ISR capabilities and communications systems with cloud te chn ology. This position is located in Warner Robin, GA. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely .You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with sof tware development
  • 5+ years of experience with managing IT infrastructure that supports sof tware code environments
  • 3+ years of experience with developing CI / CD pipeline automation employing DevOps tools, including Puppet, Chef, Vagrant, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Terraform
  • 3+ years of experience with Computer Programming and Scripting Languages, including Python, Java, Pearl, Ruby on Rails, PHP, and .NET
  • Knowledge of networks and network interfaces
  • Ability to provision resources, select an appropriate deployment model, direct testing protocol
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Cloud Solutioning Certification
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Linux operating system
  • Experience with one or more of the following OS: Unix, Solaris, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Windows
  • Experience with managing teams
  • Knowledge of virtualization and containers
  • Ability to create secure code and perform vulnerability testing
  • Master's Degree
  • VMware Certified Design Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Certification

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.
