That's why we need you, an experienced DevOps engineer, to help us shorten the time it takes to get critical tools developed and into the hands of warfighters who need them to sustain, maintain and deliver innovative capabilities to change the world.As a DevOps engineer on our team, you'll use your development experience to streamline our software development lifecycle from requirements to monitoring in production across the Air Force. You'll support efforts to incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the team's developers to do what they do best - innovate. You'll implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like assimilating development and operations teams to improve the collaboration process, working with IT developers to facilitate better coordination among operations and streamlining the integration and deployment process. This position is located in Hampton, VA. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.You Have:
- Experience with software development, including associated practices
- Experience with managing IT infrastructure that supports software code environments
- Experience with developing CI/CD pipeline automation workflows and processes
- Experience with end-state automation tools, including Puppet, Chef, Vagrant, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Terraform
- Experience with Computer Programming and Scripting Languages, including Python, Java, Pearl, Ruby on Rails, PHP, and .NET
- Knowledge of networks and network interfaces
- Ability to provision resources, select an appropriate deployment model, direct testing protocol
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Cloud Solutioning Certification
- Experience with Linux operating system
- Experience with one or more of the following: OS: Unix, Solaris, Ubuntu, Red Hat, or Windows
- Knowledge of virtualization and containers
- Ability to create secure code and perform vulnerability testing
- VMware Certified Design Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Certification
