Senior Full Stack Engineer
Job Description Our client company is an innovative entertainment venue located in Natick, MA. It offers an in-person interactive gaming environment, a kind of escape room experience. Guests can choose from more than 40 rooms, each one containing unique physical and mental challenges. They also offer delicious food and drinks! The company is rapidly growing and working on opening more locations. They are venture-backed with an 8-figure financing and have a team that has worked on successful entertainment projects such as 5 Wits, Boda Borg, Escape Rooms, Blue Man Group, and Walt Disney Imagineering. They are looking to hire a Full Stack Python Engineer to join their awesome engineering team. They would like someone that can go to the office in Natick twice a week but are very remote friendly. Required Skills & Experience- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience (back-end, front-end, or ideally full stack)
- Have used extensively many of the technologies in the list below
- Passionate about helping other engineers improve and write better code
- Collaborative mindset
- Significant Django development experience (Django rest framework even better!)
- MySQL advanced experience
- Architected and implemented highly scaling apps (Google Cloud Platform preferably)
- TypeScript and Front-end comfortable
- Know how to create beautiful interfaces
- Have a sense of humor and great team player
- Implementing highly scalable Google Cloud Platform-based APIs using Django rest framework to power multiple locations and the online experience
- Expanding the company's online presence with Online Ticketing, Creating Accounts/Setup, Player Statistics, Mini games, and mobile apps
- Building beautiful and efficient user interfaces in Next.js/TypeScript using Material UI components and custom code
- Designing and creating new games for players
- Creating tools for the operational staff to make their jobs run more smoothly
