job summary:We are currently seeking a Workday Testing Lead. This role supports the initiative to implement Workday by developing and execution of a testing strategy, test planning, test case scenarios, and successfully navigating test execution to ensure functional business needs are met. The individual will provide coordination and support with Project Management to ensure that all aspects of the HR project are completed on time and in alignment with business goals. As a key contributor to the client Workday implementation, it is imperative that you establish high quality standards and lead by example. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with Functional Configuration Leads and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand business processes and develop a Test Strategy that ensures thorough and effective test coverage. As the Testing Lead you will provide technical direction of the testing team to include creation and execution of manual and automated test scripts as well as assuming responsibility for the creation and execution of quality metrics. The Business analyst will partner closely with the various teams to define requirements that will inform the project's goals. location: Augusta, Mainejob type: Contractsalary: $44 - 45 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: No Degree Required responsibilities:Role Description: - Develops an overall Testing Strategy defining the testing, purposes, responsibilities, guidelines, schedule, and other information specific to each round of testing - Create Test Plans for each phase of testing detailing tenant setup, data prep, data validation, roles & responsibilities, unit testing, test execution, entry/exit criteria, etc - Responsible for coordinating and scheduling all testing phases to include End to End, Payroll Parallel, User Experience Testing, Regression Testing - Governance and oversight of all testing phases - Fully engage in application configuration and legacy data migration and validation to assess tenant readiness for each test phase - Prioritize and sequence test scenarios with support from vendor consultants - Escalation point of contact for all defects - Provide overall testing metrics/reports for each testing phase - Develops regression test plans for Workday Releases and Post Production changes with support from vendor consultants - Facilitate the assignment of testing resources to each test - Facilitate the coordination of data across test steps within scenarios - Work with the project team to schedule testing sessions and coordinate/monitor assignments and progress - Report weekly statistics of testing progress including total tests to perform, tests performed to date, % completed, numbers of pass/fail, % pass/fail and a list of issues deemed "showstoppers" - Oversee all test execution activities including defect management, troubleshooting and resolution - Conduct a daily testing de-brief during key testing activities to review progress and set the agendas and objectives for the following day - Advanced skills working with customers, including excellent communication skills with all levels of business as well as IT staff Test team leadership experience + Must possess the qualities of a balance between technical analysis and interpersonal skills Knowledge of Workday/HRMS systems Required and desired skills of the resource - Experience with leading testing of large scale integrated systems (HRMS experience preferred) - Great technical aptitude, experience with data analytics and troubleshooting test scenarios, defects, data and integrations - Solid understanding of automation and manual testing best practices - Ability to summarize and communicate issues to Project Leadership, provide options and make recommendations - Experience with testing tools to track test scenarios and results (e.g. JIRA, Bugzilla, Excel) qualifications:
