Start your Voyage - Apply Now Position Summary:Responsible for the organization's planning and prioritization of Business Continuity planning and monitoring activities according to business needs and strategic goals. Develop, maintain, or implement business continuity strategies and solutions, including, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of business continuity plans. Work closely with others in the Business functions to provide management with a consistent and accurate view of the sources, scale, and scope of identified processes. Partner to plan, conduct, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans regularly. Act as a coordinator for continuity efforts during and after a disruption event.Position Description:

  • Proactively assist the business to prepare proactive plans to mitigate losses to assets, business revenues, and human capital in the event of a severe incident or event.
  • Analyze impact on, and risk to, essential business functions or information systems to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements.
  • Manage annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
  • Identify opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of business interruption and other risks caused by business, regulatory, or industry-specific change initiatives.
  • Create or administer training and awareness presentations and materials.
  • Individual will be involved in potentially volatile, complex and time sensitive matters requiring a strong understanding of the details to keep business stake-holders focused on Business Continuity execution for the entire organization.
  • Individual will be expected to discern situations necessitating immediate escalation to more senior levels of the organization.
  • Regularly interface with senior leaders throughout the organization to discuss, identify and provide guidance and feedback regarding the remediation of business owned continuity risk exposures.
  • Manage alternative site, emergency notification system, and priority communication service vendors, inclusive of recurring contract reviews and renewals.
  • Provide support on a rotational basis for all Crisis Management activities and be able to assume role if needed.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Business Continuity areas (BC Planning / Documentation, BIA, Crisis Management) and demonstrated ability to apply to business environment.
  • Certified Business Continuity Planner certification preferred
  • 10 years of previous experience in a similar function
  • Must be able to perform in high pressure situations and scenarios.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of industry specific concepts, regulations, processes and key risks required.
  • Demonstrated experience in escalating issues through the appropriate levels of management.
  • Demonstrated ability in dealing with challenging situations, navigating disagreement, and negotiation at different levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability in applying knowledge of business and corporate functions.
  • Working experience in a regulated environment required.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Advance understanding of the Archer GRC platform, for BCM & BIA, and possess an awareness of Disaster Recovery (DR)
  • Must demonstrate ability to work as a member of a geographically diverse team.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, advanced degree a strong plus.
