As a Platform DevOps engineer, you know how to build, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your clients' needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud platform skills to improve the intelligence and cloud support our warfighters need to protect our nation? We need you to help us develop and manage container management software to solve some of Department of Defense's toughest challenges.On our team as a Platform DevOps Engineer, you'll deploy cloud infrastructure and application containers to support mission critical operations for the DoD. You'll use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your clients' environments with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your technical knowledge, you'll work directly with fellow colleagues who share a passion to collaborate on the latest cloud and container technologies and engage with senior leaders on solution delivery to inform strategy and design, while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process with technologies like Linux, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and many other cloud services.You'll recommend tools such as those found within the full cloud catalog as well as leading open source versions and those found in the cloud native computing foundation to help your clients manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll broaden your skills in areas like cloud deployments across multiple security fabrics as we you build out a secure cloud platform built up modern DevSecOp practices that will numerous critical mission tenants while developing critical cloud platforms for the DoD and intelligence community. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.Ready to transform how the DoD delivers the full power of the cloud to our nation's finest with cloud platform technology? You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience with Linux operating systems
  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer deploying secure cloud infrastructure and applications using cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) using frameworks like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager
  • 3+ years of experience with container technologies, including Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience with software development unit testing frameworks
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery solutions, including Gitlab or Jenkins
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages, including Python, Golang, or similar
  • Ability to lead a delivery team with dynamic requirement sets
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Certification or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience using software programming languages, including Python, Golang, or Java
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Security+, CISSP, or equivalent security Certification
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud Certification
