That's why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network the Navy needs.As a network engineer on our team, you'll help the Navy design and evolve a reliable network to support critical missions. You'll work with Subject Matter Experts to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You'll then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you'll put your hardware and sof tware talents to good use. - 3+ years of experience with IP networking design and troubleshooting
- 3+ years of experience with virtual environments
- Experience with Micro sof t operating systems
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience with Cisco IOS devices
- Knowledge of VMware ESXi and vCenter
- Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and int rus ion detection or prevention te chn ologies
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience with DoD networks
- Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell and Bash
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Top Secret clearance
- Micro sof t Certified Solutions Asso cia te ( MCSA ) , Micro sof t Certified Solutions Expert ( MCSE ) , or Cisco Certified Network Professional ( CCNP ) Certification
- Ability to obtain a Security+ or Cisco CCNA Certification
