Linux Administrator
M9 Solutions is seeking a
Linux Administrator to work hybrid remote/on-site on a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC.An active or interim Secret clearance is required. Responsibilities- Responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the RedHat Enterprise Linux operating system, in the client's production, and non-production environments, running on assets in both physical and virtual machines within data centers, as well as Azure GovCloud.
- Responsible for hardening the operating systems per the security configuration standards, addressing security mandates, and providing ongoing technical support for patching and upgrades.
- Provide access management enablement, file system support and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot complex operating system issues.
- Utilize bash and shell scripting to enhance platform automation and operation.
- Work closely with our operations teams to support networking and external integrations.
- Provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
- Experiment with creative solutions or do day to day tasks like documenting process flows.
- Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
- An active or interim Secret clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 5+ years of experience in Linux administration.
- 3+ years of experience in Azure administration.
- 5+ years RedHat Linux experience working on high availability and complex mission critical solutions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to manage day to day tasks.
- Willing and able to travel to client sites for periodic planned or emergency support of "Classified" systems.
- Azure GovCloud experience which includes setting up networks, firewalls, and app gateways.
- Experience with Shell scripting for automation.
- Ansible experience.
- Salary Range: $60,000/year - $180,000/year
