Our team supports senior-level DoD and Service representatives on sof tware system safety implementation and oversight for DoD weapon system acquisition programs. Leverage your spe cia lized knowledge and expertise in embedded, real-time safety critical sof tware, including applying scientific and engineering principles, criteria, and te chn iques to identify and assess a sof tware's contribution to safety hazards, and inform the implementation of mitigations to reduce warfighter risk.As a systems engineer on our team, you'll enjoy a dynamic team environment of client and contract staff while executing comprehensive sof tware system safety programs or individual tasks, including plans, analyses, assessments, and evaluations. You'll analyze data, develop written deliverables, assist with the presentation of results, and assist with the review of client sof tware system safety documents to verify compliance with requirements, policy , and guidance documents. You'll c ond uct tasks in accordance with established plans and quality standards but will have the freedom to improve processes and advance the discipline of sof tware system safety. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely .You Have:
- 5+ years of experience with developing complex systems, including developing or debugging multi-threaded, real-time, or embedded sof tware
- 3+ years of experience with sof tware system safety implementation in compliance with MIL-STD-882E or DoD standard practices for System Safety
- Experience with using sof tware development environments and tools, including Eclipse, Micro sof t Visual Studio, or Rational Sof tware
- Knowledge with FPGAs, PLDs, or firmware development
- Knowledge of operating systems and compiler te chn ology
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Science, CS, EE, Engineering, or Sof tware Engineering

- Certified Safety Professional ( CSP ) , Navy Principal for Safety ( PFS ) , or Certified Systems Engineering Professional ( CSEP ) Certification
