Looking for more Senior - documentor , strategic direction to rest of the team Qualifications: DNS, DHCP, O 365, Microsoft side, Looking for more of a Leader with great delegation and communication skills Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Reports directly to the Sr. Director of Infrastructure.
- Under minimal supervision; monitors, troubleshoots and maintains company's infrastructureenvironment including storage, servers, Active Directory, O365, and cloud environments (i.e. AWS,Azure)
- Responsible for monitoring system performance, IT operations, and infrastructure utilization
- Manages user accounts and assets; assigns and updates security permissions on the networkaccording to policy
- Provides technical support for hardware maintenance; repairs or replaces defective serverhardware; expedites repairs with outside services as necessary
- Enforces and maintains security baselines IAW established hardening standards for all serveroperating systems
- Responsible for executing monthly operating system patching process
- Configures and maintains backup regimen for all servers, databases, and storage arrays.
- Monitors SQL database performance, security, capacity, and availability ensuring no unplanneddisruptions or data losses occur
- Tests and upgrades software releases as necessary
- Assists with system administration projects
- Establishes and maintains a professional working rapport with all levels of users, associates,vendors, and management to effectively provide problem resolution, follow-up, and status updates
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Broad familiarity with storage solutions to support storage environment
- Broad technical capabilities with VMWare
- In-depth familiarity with VMWare Horizon View
- Extensive capabilities using Active Directory
- Experience running backup environment using EMC IDPA Avamar
- Good knowledge of at least one scripting language (i.e. PowerShell).
- Broad technical capabilities to support O365 environment
- Single Sign On (SSO) integration and session management for multiple web and cloud applications
- Strong familiarity with various security frameworks and system hardening standards/benchmarks
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems
- Thorough knowledge of SQL data backup, recovery, security, and integrity
- Knowledge of database design, database data access methods, and industry best practices
- Broad technical capabilities to support advanced troubleshooting and perform necessary repairs
- Ability to research and find answers to complex technical problems
- Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical personnel to deliver services and resolve issues in atimely manner
- Professional and effective communication skills
- BS degree in computer science/technology or related field (preferred), or a combination ofeducation, industry certifications, and direct experience that provides the requisite skills
- 10+ years of experience across a variety of technologies such as directory services, hypervisors,storage arrays, Windows and Linux servers, networks, and an understanding of fundamental securityrequirements within these components
