The NTT Data Digital API Services practice is a one-stop-shop for all API related needs of the customer, right from defining their API strategy and roadmap, business case development, down to prototyping, API development, API management product selection and implementation and managed services.We are looking for a strong and versatile API Architect to join our growing team in Plano, Texas, US.ResponsibilitiesEngage with customers to understand their business needs and help them define their API requirementsSolution design and estimationDesign and build scalable, secure, and extensible APIs and Microservices that power internal integrations and engaging customer-facing experiences.Provide Technical Analysis, Context Architecture Diagram, Technical Flow diagram, Data Flow diagram, and technical leadership to the development team.Create design templates, tools, and accelerators for API development for the teamEvaluate and implement API related tools, products, and platforms for the customerLearn new tools/technologies and upskill the team on themCollaborate with various stakeholders and multiple teams to own the delivery of high-quality end-product for the customerRole RequirementsBE/B.Tech/MCA or a related fieldExperience in Apigee and IBM API Connect V5 is mandatory. Experience/certifications with one or more API Management Platform experiences (Mulesoft, Axway, IBM API Gateway etc) will be an added plus. Apigee Certification preferredExperience in migrating from IBM API Connect V5 to Apigee Hybrid or Apigee Edge to Apigee Hybrid or similar migration from one API Gateway to another will be an added advantage.7+ years of overall experience in IT with 5+ years of architecture and development experience in API and Integrations space3+ years of hands-on development experience with APIsExperience with one or more programming languages for API developmentDeep understanding of RESTful architecture principles and their applicabilityExperience with all stages of the API lifecyclePrevious customer-facing experience & Excellent communication skills and team spiritAbility to work independently with globally distributed teams and provide technical leadership/mentoring to junior members in the teamAbility to handle the high volume of requests with frequent interruptions and prioritize their own work while taking organization and business needs into accountAbility and willingness to quickly learn new technologies/tools and train the team on themThe Company is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit and business needs.
