Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.The Manager of Software Development will provide functional and project management functions for a team performing application software development, maintenance, and deployment to various production environments. Provides the strategic engineering, manufacturing, and sustainment enabling platforms for the NG Enterprise as well as the Digital Thread interconnectivity of these solutions.The selected applicant will perform as the functional manager for Professional Services employees (aka contractors) assigned to the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) department.In addition, depending upon the applicant's background and interest, duties may include the following:

  • Overall responsibility for Production operations of certain Teamcenter and eQube Production environments including deployment planning, execution, and maintenance.
    • Attract, up-skill, retain necessary Individual Contributors to execute the Production operations statement of work
    • Provide technical leadership to successfully execute Production operations
    • Assist in department process and procedure development
    • Manage the Server Request process to ensure timely delivery of computing environments.
  • Managing special projects that may include Supplier related activities such as engagement, internal event planning, and development/support of enterprise agreements. Other project types may include department operations, and tactical project execution.
    • Strategic Supplier Engagement activity including creating and renewing various type of supplier agreements.
    • Create, and manage the required Purchase Orders necessary for the engagement and support from our strategic suppliers.
    • Manage the Server Request process to ensure timely delivery for internal and external environments.
    • Create various Operations reports on a regular schedule
    • Assist in department process and procedure development
Deliverables are produced by ensuring requirements and funding are adequately acquired, and interorganizational dependencies are coordinated with other organizations and Security. Duties include:• On-board, off-board, and supervise Professional Services personnel (aka Contract labor) including relevant paperwork, badging coordination, and equipment assignment/return• Perform compliance reviews of Software development licenses and maintain compliance information.• Develop positive working relationships with internal customers, peers, and technology suppliers.• Establish an inclusive culture within a diverse environment, which includes remote professionals.• Perform functional Management duties; supervise a team of Application Software Development and operations Professionals.• Foster an environment for individual development, effective performance management, open communication, financial management, and utilization.• Ensure the team follows Northrop Grumman Corporate organizations policies and procedures, making sure that all information is accurate and complete in support of those policies and procedures.• Effectively communicate with program management teams, the Enterprise Services Program Management Office Team, the Information Technology Organization, and customer representatives.• Perform interviews and complete the selection process for new candidates, while developing and maintaining a talent pipeline. Basic Qualifications : To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
  • 7+ years of relevant software development or implementation experience with a bachelor's degree in: Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline. (Equivalent professional technical experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirements)
  • Required Technical skills: usage of Agile development practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of Digital Thread and Fabric concepts
  • Excellent communication skills and able to quickly learn new concepts and business processes.
  • Ability to follow or create established development and administration processes
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Secruity Clearance
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Teamcenter development and implementation experience
  • Teamcenter and/or eQube Production administration and support experience
  • Teamcenter and/or eQube installation and maintenance procedures and methods
  • Enterprise software Production Operations (lead administrator and/or project manager)
  • Experience using AzureDevOps
  • DevSecOps Pipeline Development and maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience implementing multiple tools integrated into Teamcenter (CAD, Requirements, MBSE, ERP, MES, etc)
  • Project Management certifications (CAPM/PMP/PMI-ACP) or demonstrated experience
  • Experience with integration technologies, data migration strategies and experience with analytical reporting tools.
  • Master's Degree in MSIS, MIS, Data Science, Computer Science, MBA with IS emphasis
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Security+ Certification
This position reports to Unknown City, UT, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 5 locations listed above.

Salary Range: $130,500 USD - $195,700 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
