Job DetailsWe are looking for a creative and motivated full stack developer, ideally, with front-end capabilities, that enjoys creating great products to join our Lightning Team in our Louisville, Colorado office. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. You will be working with a tightknit group that includes scientists, developers, and product specialists, dedicated to the development of SaaS products for organizations that need solutions built on the best available data. These include applications to protect outdoor workers, protect critical infrastructure, help wildfire management, and support weather forecasting. We are constantly learning, and welcome curious people to join us on that journey. We share our knowledge and work together to make a difference in a world that is experiencing increasingly extreme weather events.In this role, you'll have opportunities for:
  • Developing full-stack applications using AWS managed services and React, Typescript and Java.
  • Assisting in developing infrastructure, tools, dashboards, and monitoring platforms for existing and new applications.
  • Assisting in building CICD Pipeline
  • Maintaining and optimizing existing applications for security, speed and scalability.
  • REST API connectivity integration
  • Staying current and improve knowledge of web technologies and best practices to create the best possible user experience.
We're looking for people who have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similarly relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Open mind, good communication, and great team working skills.
  • A can-do attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to write clean and maintainable code.
  • At least 3 years of professional working experience with:
  • Javascript, TypeScript, React or similar UI framework
  • Java / Python / Node.js
  • Docker
  • AWS
  • CI/CD
  • Experience in UI/UX design
Desired, but not required, education and experience:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or similarly relevant field
  • Experience in cloud-native computing (containers, microservices, serverless functions)
  • Experience in event-driven architecture
  • Experience in 24/7 operational env
  • Enthusiasm for Agile development methodologies
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform
  • Experience in building data visualizations (Maps/Graphs)
  • CIAM related knowledge
