Requirements, Interfaces, and Verification (RIV) Project Engineer, EHP SE&I

Provide system engineering and integration (SE&I) capabilities to NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in support of the EVA & Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP). Support includes the development of technical documentation, definition of requirements/verifications for future hardware/vehicles, utilization of Model-Based System Engineering Tool DOORS Next Generation (NG), and development of the certification/human rating process. What You'll Be Doing
- Integrate and provide system engineering expertise across multiple programs and projects, including within the EHP.
- Participate in status/planning meetings, workshops, control boards, and major milestone reviews to discuss requirements, traceability/metrics, and overall systems engineering processes.
- Develop/maintain requirements documents throughout the product lifecycle, including but not limited to:
- Interface Requirements Documents that define interfaces between the vehicle hardware and the EVAS contract suits, encompassing mechanical and control interfaces as well as environmental protection requirements and associated quiescence period power/consumable demands.
- Completion of the metric transition across existing EHP program documentation and interfaces.
- Completion of requirement updates to accommodate partial gravity loads, lead coordination with stakeholders to inform requirement content.
- Lead retirement, and/or transition of NASA requirements documents.
- Lead EHP involvement in defining the human rating process for program SRR/SDR.
- Develop and coordinate documentation change packages, including stakeholder review and technical interchange meetings for technical issue resolution.
- Develop/coordinate/maintain verification products (statements, Detailed Verification Objectives, etc.) within EHP and with External Programs.
- Develop relevant processes and procedures as needed for interoperability and technical standards.
- Utilize DOORS NG for EHP SE&I RIV Team products.
- Support analyses, trades, and decision package development for resolution of EVA architectural options and EVA requirements.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science
- Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
- Ability to work effectively and quickly in real-time environments of rapid-change, conflicting requirements, and occasional pressure

- Experience performing or leading technical and programmatic tasks for NASA
