All brought together in a flexible work environment where you can truly find balance.About the Opportunity Our National IT organization has an immediate opening for a DevOps Engineer (vRealize) with many remote work location options.As a DevOps Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop automation solutions to support infrastructure-as-code applications. You will also collaborate with other product engineers, test automation, and operations to deliver new capabilities and streamline current processes.What You Will Do:
- Provide thought leadership to the team in new technologies, identifying / implementing / leading improvements that will significantly improve time to market and self-service.
- Lead highly technical/complex projects utilizing FRIT/System staff and resources.
- Perform resolution of complex hardware, environmental software operating systems and subsystems. Oversee problem avoidance actions.
- Analyze and revise existing system logic and documentation.
- Evaluate, recommend, and selects new software/hardware.
- Ensure conformance and compliance with existing system standards.
- Train technical staff on the use of our software/hardware tools
- Monitor compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines.
- 2 years of application development / scripting experience (JavaScript, JSON, Unix Shell, etc.,)
- Knowledge of tools administration in a large/complex organization
- Familiarity with vRealize preferred
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies
- Familiarity with DevOps practices
- Configuration management skills/knowledge preferred
