Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Global Operations Security is seeking a well-qualified Network Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in the Sunnyvale, CA area. Roles and responsibilities include:
- Plan, manage and implement complex network designs in support of customer requirements
- Support network teams in project designs to clarify project requirements, provide design solutions, in accordance with standards.
- Perform troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems
- Install and configure Cisco routers, switches and firewalls
- Interface regularly with customers and manage customer installation timelines and deliverables to help facilitate successful deployments.
- Provide guidance to team members and provide status metrics to customer and Northrop Grumman management.
- Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
- Experience with Cisco routers, switches, IPS/IDS, and firewalls
- Ability to design and troubleshoot VPNs
- Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of problems. Periodically provide after-hours and weekend support.
- Perform network risk analysis, modeling, and back-up administration functions
- Lift 40 pounds as needed
- Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed
- Associate's degree and 7 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR Master's degree and 3 years of experience; 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance as a condition of continued employment
- Ability to obtain and maintain special programs access as a condition of continued employment
- IAT Level II certification (ex: Security+ CE) or greater or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date
- Experience with routers, switches, hubs, or other related networking equipment
- Associate's degree and 11 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience OR Master's degree and 7 years of experience; 13 years of experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance as a condition of continued employment
- Ability to obtain and maintain special programs access as a condition of continued employment
- IAT Level II certification (ex: Security+ CE) or greater or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date
- Experience with routers, switches, hubs, or other related networking equipment
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP
- Checkpoint / Firepower FW
- Commsec experience
- Palo Alto IDS/IPS
- The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with engineering users, other system administrators and computer/facility organizations.
