Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Global Operations Security is seeking a well-qualified Network Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in the Sunnyvale, CA area. Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Plan, manage and implement complex network designs in support of customer requirements
  • Support network teams in project designs to clarify project requirements, provide design solutions, in accordance with standards.
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems
  • Install and configure Cisco routers, switches and firewalls
  • Interface regularly with customers and manage customer installation timelines and deliverables to help facilitate successful deployments.
  • Provide guidance to team members and provide status metrics to customer and Northrop Grumman management.
  • Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
  • Experience with Cisco routers, switches, IPS/IDS, and firewalls
  • Ability to design and troubleshoot VPNs
  • Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of problems. Periodically provide after-hours and weekend support.
  • Perform network risk analysis, modeling, and back-up administration functions
  • Lift 40 pounds as needed
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
  • Associate's degree and 7 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR Master's degree and 3 years of experience; 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance as a condition of continued employment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain special programs access as a condition of continued employment
  • IAT Level II certification (ex: Security+ CE) or greater or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date
  • Experience with routers, switches, hubs, or other related networking equipment
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:
  • Associate's degree and 11 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience OR Master's degree and 7 years of experience; 13 years of experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance as a condition of continued employment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain special programs access as a condition of continued employment
  • IAT Level II certification (ex: Security+ CE) or greater or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date
  • Experience with routers, switches, hubs, or other related networking equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco CCNA, CCNP
  • Checkpoint / Firepower FW
  • Commsec experience
  • Palo Alto IDS/IPS
  • The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with engineering users, other system administrators and computer/facility organizations.

Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD

Salary Range 2: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
