This role is instrumental in shaping the direction of Cash Business capabilities for the current and future state. As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will work hands on in the coding, troubleshooting, and blueprint development process.You will work closely with the solutions cash architects, and cross-functionally within a SAFe/Agile team with Product Owners, Developers, Testers, and Business Analyst helping to establish the foundations, patterns, and standards for the team to follow to migrate applications to the cloud. As an Architect you will be accountable for documenting secure and scalable architecture to fulfill business needs. In this role you will be the "go to" person for data and data systems expertise; mentoring and coaching seasoned professionals who may have limited cloud and transformation experience.What You Will Do:

  • Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determines corresponding cloud-based system designs and change requirements to drive the Cash's targeted business outcomes.
  • Understands emerging cloud technology trends and disruptions and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
  • Evaluates emerging cloud technology trends and disruptions and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to evolve and improve CASH suite operating platforms
  • Creates reference cloud architectures focused on detailed design principles, decision points, detailed APIs, major systems and dependencies between business and IT.
  • Coaches and trains junior developers and ensure their readiness for development execution in AWS with clear designs and scalable solutions.
  • Documents best practices across cloud services
  • Creates common architectural standards for cloud-native applications
  • Creates cloud migration strategy, determines migration sequence, designs hybrid state architecture, and evolves the hybrid architecture until migration completes
  • Migrates microservice based applications, integration components, and data analytics systems from on-premises to AWS cloud
  • Re-architects and refactors existing on-premises applications to ease migration to cloud
  • Design highly durable, elastic, secure, and scalable cloud production environment
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong leadership competencies and experience leading technical teams
  • Strong expertise in service-based design and integration
  • Hybrid solution architecture experience (on-prem and AWS)
  • Expertise in DevOps, Cloud Operation and SRE
  • Expertise in Terraform, Java, Javascript, Python, and shell programming
  • Strong problem solving, oral and written communication skills including experience with executive presentations
  • Ability to work on multiple projects that require in-depth knowledge within multiple domains.
  • Ability to dig deep and get into weeds of technical problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills; ability to facilitate discussions around complex issues and bring them to resolution.
  • Ability to communicate technical topics and jargons in plain English eloquently to the executives
  • Ability to develop strategic technology plans and roadmaps
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field is required
  • 8+ years of expertise in system design, implementation and SDLC
  • Hands-on development background is a MUST
  • Demonstrated comfort and ability to operate at a range of levels from speaking with business stakeholders or sit down and perform code reviews with the lowest-level developer.
  • Hands-on experience in leading through complex, mission critical systems Cloud adoption and migration efforts along with understanding of design standard methodologies for AWS
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification is required, Professional certification is preferred
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional and AWS Certified Security-Specialty certifications are very desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying modern application architectures and data architectures, including serverless and containerized solutions
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and Scaled Agile centric execution models
  • Recent experience leading technical teams through development and implementation efforts
  • Clear thinker and rational deliberator in leading solution and tactical planning efforts
  • Strong organizational skills to lead competing and dynamic priorities, and multiple concurrent activities

  • The hiring range of the Architect - IT App Senior is $108,000 - $134,000 annually.
  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
