- Create/develop engineering drawings as part of Type Design data, to support changes for production/fabrication/installation of parts/installations.
- Coordinate with other Engineering groups as required to research all necessary data in support of kit/modification design development.
- Coordinate with Supply chain, Sales and pricing groups as required to support development of modifications/kits.
- Manage the Request For Change (RFC) process including providing RFC status, overseeing the Type Design Changes.
- Hold/Manage the Change Control Board (CCB) involving other company departments on a regular basis, providing a review/direction/priority of tasks.
- Support the Technical Support Engineer with Customer technical research/information requests.
- Investigates and resolves all tooling, quality assurance, manufacturing and engineering to resolve technical issues. Assists manufacturing and production by providing
- Provides input to and updates to engineering manuals as required.
- B.S. Degree in Engineering
- Must be able to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings, their revisions, aircraft effectivities, and other engineering documents.
- Thorough knowledge of general aircraft design practices and procedures.
- Familiar with Aircraft OEM documents - SRM, AMM, WDM, IPC, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, CMM's.
- CAD CATIA and/or Solidworks knowledge essential, along with IGES/STP file use.
