Contract Description
Senior Systems Engineer with specific subject matter knowledge around system capacity - Performs monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installing the server and network hardware used to support the business critical solutions running in that environment.
- Develops, documents and maintains procedures for administering, maintaining, and supporting the server hardware and system operations used in the Production, Test, and Development environments.
- Performs capacity planning and resource management for Database, Application, Web, and File servers.
- Implements procedures to ensure data integrity, configuration control, and systems reliability and availability.
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, System Engineering or a related field. Equivalent experience will be evaluated and considered 2. Implementing Firewalls across 2 primary data centers and 2 DR sites o Check Point Maestro to deploy virtual next generation firewall infrastructure o Check Point Web Application Firewall (WAF) for Mercury 3. Implementing Network Security Tools across 2 primary data centers and 2 DR sites o Cisco FirePower as an intrusion detection system (IDS) to increase threat detection and overall establish better visibility of network traffic o Cisco Stealthwatch Cloud for behavior-based threat visibility o ZScaler Internet Access (ZIA) for outbound security needs for endpoints, DNS and data centers o RSA Netwitness for visibility of network traffic (packet capture) from Global Data Centers (GDCs) for threat hunting and for incident response 4. Implementing Configuration Monitoring / Orchestration Tools across 2 primary data centers and 2 DR sites o Algosec FireFlow configuration management to automate the security policy change process by performing policy validation, automation and orchestration o Indeni for monitoring and alerting of Checkpoint Firewall and our ZScaler SIPA and performance to help reduce and/or avoid network downtime
