Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Information Systems Technical Analyst to join the Service Operations team. This position will be virtual remote and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an advisor to management and customers on technical solutions involving monitoring, reporting, and automation.
  • Provides guidance and help as Team Lead to the Tools & Automation Team
  • Works with management to develop long-range goals and objectives.
  • Able to create and maintain Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Disaster Recovery plans for monitoring tools .
  • Provide monitoring & reporting solutions for network engineers, DB, application , and OS administrators .
  • Can provide innovative solutions to extremely technical problems
  • Can work multiple complex projects with minimal direction
  • Maintain and support Network Configuration Management and Compliance tools.
  • Testing of data integrity and deployment strategies; troubleshooting and correcting server, client, and network configuration issues; analyzing vendor products and making recommendations to purchase hardware and software; and other functions as assigned.
  • Work with customers to generate requirements for monitoring, reporting, and dashboarding solutions
  • Generate reports on operational problems, plans and progress.
  • Interface with engineers, helpdesk support, project managers and customers as required. This shall include providing status on all non-recurring projects and infrastructure activities, ensuring that all formal processes and work instructions are followed appropriately, and that all customer requirements are met by all engineering designs and installations.
  • Write or contribute to standard operating procedures and other documents.
  • Occasionally work outside of normal business hours to support operational requirements is required. This is required for system maintenance, system outages, patching and upgrades of operational systems.
  • Support Corporate and External Audit Requirements
  • Occasional travel is required at some point in the future
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree and 14 years of relevant experience OR Masters Degree and 12 years of relevant experience OR Associates Degree and 16 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and 18 years of relevant experience
  • Ex perience with the SolarWinds Orion suite of tools
  • Experience with other m onitoring t ools
  • S trong networkin g background
  • Strong systems administration experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience develop ing advanced infrastructure, DB, application, and cloud monitoring , alerts and reporting.
  • Experience integrating monitoring services and components with incident management systems such as ServiceNow
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with Azure Cloud
  • Experience with a variety of scripting languages
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile / SAFe methodologies
  • Experience scripting in Python , PowerShell, Bash
  • Experience scripting with SQL
  • E xperience coding with SolarWinds Orion API
  • Experience with ServiceNow & the ServiceNow Event module
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Prometheus/Grafana
  • Ansible Tower
  • PowerBI reporting
This position reports to Unknown City, VA, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 6 locations listed above.

Salary Range: $132,700 USD - $199,100 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
