Explore your future and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Software Development Analyst to support our Launch & Missile Defense Systems organization, specifically our Propulsion Systems division.We are seeking an experienced Software Development Analyst to provide liaison and a prime technical point of contact to our business community in the development of process improvement application tools. This position provides the opportunity to take idea from conception to deployment working with disparate business program teams in our Magna/Promontory, Utah offices.As an integral part of the team, the successful candidate will aid in the design and development of custom solutions that enable process improvement efficiency across Business Management. Our team will be responsible for development and sustainment activities of approximately five new data driven and integration applications over the next year.This position will be Utah based and can be hired at a Principal or Senior Principal level.Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work with a team of developers developing ASP.NET MVC C# applications according to architecture and design specifications to develop applications and application components
  • Develop web APIs to support application components in support of ASP.NET applications
  • Provides operational end user support, guidance, and incident management to agreed service levels. Performs or supports testing and maintenance of system corrections
  • Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and document applications/solutions
  • Assist with the management of development projects, including the project's scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment utilizing agile methodologies
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations for new/expanded data sources, workflows, and software projects
  • Document functions and changes to new or modified features/modules, test activities/results and other areas such as error handling
  • Identify new tools, processes, and training to improve business process efficiency
  • Participate in planning sessions with team, customers, and design agency to implement process improvements
  • Assess customer needs utilizing a structured requirements process to assist in identifying business priorities and advice on options
Basic Qualifications for a Principal level:
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years' experience as a Software Developer utilizing ASP.NET MVC technologies - OR - Master's degree and 4+ years' experience as a Software Developer utilizing ASP.NET MVC technologies - OR - 10+ years' experience as a Software Developer utilizing ASP.NET MVC
    • Application development experience with ASP.NET MVC
    • Experience in using C# and SQL using Oracle and SQL Server
    • Considerable experience in object-oriented programming
    • Considerable experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • United States Citizenship required
Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal level:
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years' experience as a Software Developer utilizing ASP.NET MVC technologies - OR - Master's degree and 8+ years' experience as a Software Developer utilizing ASP.NET MVC technologies - OR 14+ years' experience as a Software Developer utilizing ASP.NET MVC
    • Application development experience with ASP.NET MVC
    • Experience in using C# and SQL using Oracle and SQL Server
    • Considerable experience in object-oriented programming
    • Considerable experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • United States Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
  • Experience with Telerik Ajax/Kendo UI Controls and jQuery
  • Python programming experience
  • API development experience with ASP.NET applications
  • Experience in the Aerospace, Space or Defense industry Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and team liaison skills

Salary Range: $84,902 USD - $135,600 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
