Senior DevOps Engineer

One of the largest motor vehicle companies in the Bay Area is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. This is a full-time, hybrid role. The responsibilities included with this role include working with a team of engineers to build, maintain, and correct issues within the platform. The three biggest focus points of this role are Python, Jenkins, Windows, and Groovy. If you have a focused DevOps Engineer mindset then this is the role for you! Role and Responsibilities

  • Automate infrastructure deployments with CloudFormation
  • Develop deployment pipelines for services running in K8s
  • Continuous delivery (CI/CD) using Jenkins
  • Programmatically make secrets management painless and easy across distributed services
  • Ability to design and develop automation solutions to infrastructure issues
  • Work closely with application developers and participating in the architectural discussions.
  • Build self-service Continuous Delivery tooling to support deployment and lifecycle management
  • Provide leadership to the team in mastering technologies, identifying and implementing worthwhile new technologies and improving our process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a degree in a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or software development.
  • Strong coding and scripting experience with Python
  • Experience with AWS including: CI/CD, EC2, IAM, CloudFormation and Route 53
  • Experience with user access, authentication, user permission management and security
  • Experience with containerization and scheduling, with Docker and K8s
  • Experience with auto scaling, performance testing and capacity planning
  • Experience with Jenkins to build automation, CI/CD, Self-Service pipelines
  • Experience owning infrastructure in production
  • Experience designing and creating build/deploy and monitoring systems
  • Experience with restful services, architecture, distributed systems, cloud systems and micro-services
