Ensure work is accomplished with high quality, in a timely fashion and is compliant with all company, city, state and federal regulations.Duties and Responsibilities:STOCKROOMReceive, unpack, verify, and record incoming shipments.Weigh and record weight of materials.Store articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves according to identifying information.Issue materials, supplies, and equipment.Maintain inventory materials, supplies, and equipment.Enter data regarding transaction movements and equipment in computer.Perform cycle counting as assigned.Prepare reports and other records.Operate material handling equipment to move materials, supplies, and equipment.Assist in training other stockroom attendants.Maintain shortage and age-control files.Maintain organized inventory locations.Coordinatetransaction-processingdaily.Perform cycle counting to update inventory accuracy.Coordinate and expedite flow of materials, supplies, and equipment to meet production requirements.Interact regularly with customers, contracts/sales, accounting, manufacturing, and planning.Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.Comply with all rules and regulations of United Technologies, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources.Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.Check work methods and results for conformance to standards and re-instruct as required.Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.Other duties as assigned.SHIPPINGMaintain vigilance in reviewing quality of shipments, including, but not limited to, verifying counts and properpackaging/labeling/paperworkof items to be shipped.Interpret shipping instructions and prepares shipments to meet a range of customer and government specifications including HazMat, DOT, IATA, IMO, ICAO, military and so forth.Devise and construct required non-standard shipping containers.Interact regularly with customers, contracts/sales, accounting, manufacturing, and planning.Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.Comply with all rules and regulations of United Technologies, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources.Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.Check work methods and results for conformance to standards and re-instruct as required.Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.Other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.0+ years of work experienceBasic Qualifications:Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holderThe ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office, shipping carrier manifest software, and labeling.Demonstrated ability to efficiently and accurately complete data entry.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail in order to ensure safety and quality.Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.The ability to work in a team to support work capacity in a fast-paced environment.Intermediate computer skills in terms of typing, navigating screens and learning new software programs.Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.The ability to take direction from more experienced coworkers, leads and supervisors.Preferred Qualifications:Experience using an ERP desired. SAP experience is preferred.Current training in appropriate shipping regulations, hazardous/dangerous goods packaging and shipping, government, international, ocean air, parcel and LTL truck shipments.
