Job Summary

The Fabrication Support Specialist is responsible for carrying out a variety of roles within a production / clean room environment. These can include, inventory management, shipping, receiving, chemical tracking, storeroom tracking, and product delivery. The Fabrication Support Specialist will be required to operate technical equipment and machinery. Duties may also include performing preventative maintenance on various types of customer process equipment. The Fabrication Support Specialist position requires knowledge and application of customer systems. Reporting and customer interaction is typically of a routine nature. Candidate must be able to read, understand and follow detailed technical documentation and instructions while unsupervised. Candidate must be able to generate accurate and detailed written reports on a daily basis. Ability to analyze and interpret data is a must.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform coordination activities such as shipping customer material (including hazardous materials), answering customer calls, handling routine issues, operating manual carts, entering relevant shipping information into the customer computer system, and maintaining inspections on safety stations and equipment. Responsible for handling hazardous material and preparing shipping documentation and packaging requirements.

Perform inventory management related functions such as monitoring equipment due for service, slow moving and dead stock, conduct cycle counting and yearly inventories, and reporting, etc. Increase revenue by controlling customer spend, provide daily customer service functions and interface with the customer relative to inventory management.

Interface directly with customer POC, purchasing directors, facility directors and plant managers etc. Responsible for managing consigned, non-consigned, customer owned and 3rd party inventory onsite at the customer location.

Perform purchasing functions such as providing level 2 and 3 SAP support (B/O, DFS, or 3P Support), managing quotes, document control, filing and records maintenance, sorting and monitoring reclaimed and recyclable material, resolving open invoices/pricing, and forecasting, etc Responsible for all customer service related functions including but not limited to: order entry, reporting, basic cross referencing and product conversions to brand or best buy products, maintaining metrics, and cost avoidance, etc.

Utilize company and customer computer systems (SAP,Citrix, Info Access, Intranet, StockTracker,

ChemSW, and customer specific ERP systems as well as customer specific shipping systems in fulfillment of job duties.

Meet goals and objectives: revenue, safety, performance and quality.

Train Fabrication Support Technicians and new Fabrication Support Specialists on job aspects.

Create programs for enhanced service efficiencies.

Interface with manufacturing representatives.

Document SPI Requests.

Chemical Delivery job specific requirements:

Manage production chemical orders for Intel & deliver to POU locations throughout the Fab.

Enter orders based on production requirements in proprietary system.

Manage chemical inventory at multiple stocking locations through customer approved min/max levels.

Interface with customer on chemical orders and production requirements.

Etch Tech job specific requirements:

Clean, bag, stock, and ship quartz, ceramic, and metal parts for semiconductor equipment while following all safety guidelines.

Interface with customer on specific needs.

Manage cleaning & shipping schedule to match customer’s production requirements.

Ability to operate equipment used for cleaning & maintenance of parts such as includes ultrasonic sinks, large laboratory ovens, and Nitric Acid baths.

Inventory management of manufacturing parts in customers computer system.

Coordinate shipping schedule of outbound parts.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required; 2 year technical degree or related experience preferred.

Mechanical aptitude required.

2-5 years equivalent experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service.

Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know a plus.

Cross referencing and inside sales experience a plus.

Valid Driver’s License and transportation.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances and medical checkups.

Knowledge of Information Access and System SAP; intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel.

Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.

Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can-do attitude.

High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures.

Ability to self-manage and self-motivate; forward thinking.

Ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of products and services.

Ability to communicate effectively with both the customer and internal contacts.

Must be able to lift 50lbs minimum, and handle a cart weighing 100lbs.

May be required to travel.

Typically works in a production/clean room environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

The associate is required to stand and walk for the majority of the working day. The physical requirements of the job are for associates to talk, hear, bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb height, reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull. Furthermore, the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as well as both feet for repetitive movement operating foots controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
