Hi,

I run a link building SEO (search engine optimization) agency with a fully with a remote team, everyone works from their home. It’s a two-year old company, we’ve grown from 0 to 13 clients over the past 2 years and I’m looking to grow to around 25 over the next year or so. We have a remote team of 8 that communicates well over Slack.

I am looking for someone VERY organized to help manage work for ongoing clients, with the potential for this to turn into a team leadership type role with more responsibility. This is a startup and you will be getting in at the ground floor, with ample opportunity for growth.

Currently, this role involves ordering links from wholesale providers, ensuring they meet specific quality thresholds, adhering to our internal timelines so that we can get our reports out to clients by month-end. If none of this makes sense, that’s ok. We’ll teach you and we have detailed training materials. There is no direct client interaction involved, but you will be responsible for communicating frequently with other members of our team.

This is a fully remote position requiring 15-20 hours of work per week, with potential to turn into a full time position. The majority of the client work happens at the beginning and end of the month, it should be fairly quiet in the middle of the month, though I’d like you to be available for a weekly check-in phone call every week. Mid-month when it's quieter with clients is a great time for us to make improvements on internal processes and we'd like you to be heavily involved in that.

You do not need to know anything about link building or SEO in order to apply, though it may help a little.

Specific responsibilities

Ordering links from link wholesale providers at the beginning of the month

Communicating as-needed with our head of SEO and account management over slack to stay on top of any changes in client strategy

Entering all links into our client’s tracking sheet so they can see what links went live, what the domain scores are, etc.

Circling back with publishers/providers in the event links are not up to quality, or we need something changed.

Updating links as they go live in the tracking sheet, entering key pieces of information (domain score, anchor text, etc.)

More broadly:

Think proactively of ways to improve processes, willingness to speak up if things aren’t working well or if you have better ideas of how to do things

Maintain and improve relationships with our suppliers

The desire/ability to potentially train and manage others and increase in responsibility to a team-lead type role, with a commensurate pay increase.
