Job Description

As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be on the front lines supporting and engaging a passionate community of clients. Responsible for a portfolio of client accounts, Customer Service Assistant help to ensure the successful implementation and retention of all clients assigned to their team. A deft communicator, you empathize with your audience and can strike a friendly and conversational tone even when communicating complex or sensitive information. You’re a good listener and take the time to understand the scope of a problem before jumping to a conclusion. Your patient and excel at teaching and training end-users with varied technical abilities.

Salary range: $45000 - $55000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Submit communications (i.e. letters, collateral materials, presentation content, etc.)
  • Schedule client appointments, answer phone calls, and complete follow-up calls as instructed by designated representatives and advisors.
  • Effectively manage customer inquiries and questions regarding various products and services. If appropriately licensed, meet with prospective clients individually to describe insurance product offerings.
  • Prepare client correspondence as needed.
  • Coordinate licensing and education requirements with insurance carriers and investment companies.
  • Handle marketing and mailing projects as needed.
  • Support the representatives and advisors with seminars, including marketing/promotion, maintaining seminar supplies, and collecting prospective client data.
  • Prepare for client appointments by assembling product literature, insurance illustrations, forms, client reports, and other applicable information. Extensive responsibility for the preparation of account paperwork.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Drive required & advanced knowledge of Google sheets preferred
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Desire to provide outstanding customer service
  • Self-starter with ability to pick up and implement new concepts and directives easily with little supervision
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to continue to self-train and enhance knowledge of new technologies and service
  • Ability to understand critical drivers of the business; identify and report to management accordingly
  • Willingness to accept constructive criticism and deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations
  • Adaptability and flexibility to handle considerable variety in the workplace
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in on boarding, account management or project management
