Geotechnical Engineer (San Francisco)

AGS, Inc., an established engineering firm based in San Francisco, is seeking a full-time Project Geotechnical Engineer. Work may include public works infrastructure, Environment (Water/Wastewater/Environmental), Transportation (Airports/Roads/Transit/Marine), and Buildings/Facilities.

Responsibilities

Field Investigation

Engineering Analyses

Seismic Analysis and Design

Soil-Structure Interaction

Liquefaction Analysis

Slope Stability

Engineering Design Documents

Calculations and Cost Estimates

Report Preparation

Qualifications

1-10 Years of Work Experience in Geotechnical Engineering required.

BS or MS Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.

Licensed California PE a plus

40-Hour OSHA, HAZWOPER, and Nuclear Gauge certifications also a plus.

Word, Excel, and graphics and analysis programs.

Flexibility and ability to work well within a team environment, detailed-oriented, well organized, self-motivated, good writing skills.

Willingness to travel.

The candidate should be able to follow a project independently through phases of implementation: working with engineers and geologists for field work and laboratory testing, analysis, and preparation of draft and final report deliverables. We seek flexible individuals who can comfortably perform a variety of tasks both in the field and in the office.
