The Gallery Manager plays an integral role in leading executing and growing the furnishings and design business within an DOORA Gallery. Responsibilities

Sales Maximization – In-store and Online

The majority of time will be spent working directly with designers and store management to nurture leads, follow up on large quotes, improve process, manage our CRM system, and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Assist in developing a formalized sales process for in-store and online designers.

Create detailed plan for lead nurturing – from cold contact, to follow up cadence, to testing messages that work best to drive sales.

Partner with leadership to define the strategy for retail and eCommerce business, devising and implementing activities to drive performance and support lead generation, retail and eCommerce sales, and installations.

Develop and drive improvements across the business’ key performance indicators to facilitate and track sales growth and efficiencies.

Coach store management and designers to capitalize on potential sales opportunities.

Set short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs.

Ultimately responsible for all in-store and online sales made by design team.

Staffing

Work closely to recruit, train, and motivate Designers and/or Managers.

Implement a formal sales training and orientation program to educate new hires as our company grows.

Decide on appropriate staff levels to ensure coverage and drive outbound contact.

Store Operations

Open/Close Showroom

Make sure all areas are functioning, ordering supplies, etc.

Must be comfortable functioning in showrooms and directly with sales team. This means availability during retail hours and weekends as needed.

Maintain general office functions and supplies

Maintain client and product library

Research new products and vendors

Open and maintain vendor accounts and files

Opening and receiving boxes unpacking deliveries

Estimating, Invoices and Purchasing

Purchasing and follow up with clients and vendors on status of items

Follow up of items ordered with tracking of progress

Maintain project scheduling and scheduling of deliveries

Vendor Relations

Key vendor’s relationship maintenance, coach vendors to prioritize company’s business in production.

Improve performance and relationships.

Manage orders ad vendor contracts.

Ability to handle daily conflict/negotiation independently in the best interest of our company.

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Procurement

Estimating, Invoices and Purchasing

PO management & Fulfilment

Purchasing and follow up with clients and vendors on status of items

Follow up of items ordered with tracking of progress and deliveries

Be able to analyze production process and identify possible options to increase production effectiveness.

Identify key process from material, production and logistic.

Explore possible ways to improve on-time deliver rate such as preparing stock, getting projection, etc. Be able to mobile all possible resources from Inventory, PD, Sourcing, etc.

Negotiate PO change as business demand requires.

JOB COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

Knowledge

The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

Overall Knowledge of QuickBooks, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, logistics and vendor management.

Microsoft 365 – Publisher, Word, Excel, Outlook

Proficient in Houzz, Instagram, Social Media

Knowledge of home furnishings, retail experience, construction a plus

Skills

The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:

Exceptional experience in researching on the Internet and finding products pertaining to specific criteria

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 30 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques. assist in moving small furniture items, artwork, chairs, etc.

Ability to maneuver effectively around gallery floor, stock room and office

Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing

Clean driving record, personal vehicle preferred

Ability to travel locally
