Job Description

We are looking for someone preferably based in the Greater Los Angeles Area. The role will be covering customers in Southern California, Las Vegas, and Arizona.

The Field Manager, Mileage Sales reports directly to the Division Manager, Mileage Sales and is responsible for managing all aspects of transit and intercity mileage accounts, including but not limited to, new and current sales and customer relations, inventory management, collections, scrap, and retread disposition and removal.

Additionally, the Field Manager oversees account maintenance and supervision of Service Supervisors and Service Teammates.

The individual in this role also manages profit and loss statements and controls territory expenses which includes travel, service, and supplies at service accounts as needed.

Responsibilities

PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION

Interview candidates and hire teammates for service and field office positions

Train new teammates in job functions including mileage processes, removal codes for scrap and retreading, account management which included Piece Counts per Contract Terms and Yearly Physical Inventories, and tire related technical requirements.

Manage personnel at multiple locations. This includes maintaining scheduling / productivity at each account by managing vacations, absenteeism, and turn over.

Cover shifts as needed.

Act as the liaison between home office departments and hourly teammates. Communicating important updates from headquarters such as information from Safety, Billing, Credit, Customer Service and HR.

Ensure hourly teammates are familiar and complying with all requirements of government contracts where they are working.

Train and insure compliance with all safety rules, programs and requirements and providing any required reporting

Manage temp workforce as needed

Oversee proper payroll logging, reviews and submittals; Some submittals are manual and some are via Dayforce, where applicable

OPERATIONS

Manage all aspects of tire operations to ensure maximum miles per tire including, but not limited to, alignment, braking conditions, irregular wear, air pressure, rotation programs, retread programs, tooling, and supplies and proper tire selection.

Perform Fleet Analyzer reports for performance of fleet.

Coordinate all operational efforts and activities related to removal issues with Sales Engineering to ensure quality and consistent technical recommendations and correspondence with customers.

Maintain all aspects of servicing tire dealer relationship with respect to casing sales, scrap tire removal and re-treading, and inventory levels at customer and dealer location for maximum customer satisfaction.

Ensure that customer adheres to the contractual obligations identified in the Mileage Sales Agreement.

Communicate up to management on all aspects of the assigned territory; Communicate with home office all forms and reports performed by the field

Manage travel to maximize efficiency and control expenses and to provide the best level of face to face customer service, account retention and acquisition.

Ensure Bridgestone is compliant on all aspects of government contracts to prevent defaulting on Government contract.This includes, but is not limited to, the performance and quality of service, product quality and supply and credit and billing compliance.

Coordinate with fleets and ERS dealers when customers have roadside emergencies

Maintaining activity in Salesforce (combine with reporting to HQ)

SELLING :

Analyze and make recommendations to customers based on the individual needs for both service and product issues, including proper products to use, all inventory levels, proper number of service personnel and equipment needed recommending appropriate actions as necessary.

Identify and call on prospective new accounts in various industries including, but not limited to bus, auto-hauler, truck, taxi, and truck.

Complete fleet profiles and explain Bridgestone Firestone Mileage Leasing Program price structure and services. Refer to FSM and DM as needed.

Maintain and build positive working relationships with existing customers; recommending additional service sales; Annual Cost Analysis review with customer to establish value of lease program and explain rate changes.

Negotiate renewal contracts for current customers based on rates approved by Mileage management.

COLLECTIONS and ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

Collect past due amounts for mileage, scrap, and sold tires as billed; working closely with Credit and Billing departments, using aging reports

Collect any un-depreciated assets for closed accounts as necessary

Manage transfer of assets from one account to another

Maintains communication and updates between departments and customer

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

2-4 years managing others (hourly teammates and contractors)

Valid Drivers License

Experience working and managing remotely

Understands providing a culture of Safety and Compliance

Industry specific experience tire knowledge

Proficient computer skills MS Office, timekeeping systems

Sales experience

Strong customer service mindset and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Able to make decisions and work independently

Ability to analyze data and reports

Understanding of contract and government compliance

P&L knowledge / experience
